Great sound, strong Wi-Fi and a safer home, thoughtfully installed.
From new builds with walls of glass to older homes in the middle of a remodel, we design and install systems that are easy to live with. Serving Seattle and the Puget Sound since 2009.
Technology that fits your Seattle home
Seattle homes come in every shape. Some are older houses with plaster walls and small rooms that have been opened up. Others are modern builds with big windows and a view. Many are partway through a remodel. Each one needs a different plan. In an older home, the job is getting good Wi-Fi and sound in without tearing up the walls. In a house full of glass, it's handling glare and privacy. And at the front door, you want to see who's there before you open it.
We're based in Mill Creek and have done this work since 2009, in Seattle and across the Puget Sound. One local team designs, installs and stands behind every system, so it all works together and stays easy to use.
What we do in Seattle
Home theater & TV
Game day feels like you're at the stadium, and movie night feels like a premiere. A big screen over the fireplace with no wires showing, or a dedicated theater in the bonus room.
Whole-home audio
Music in the kitchen, the deck and the kids' rooms, each at its own volume, from speakers you hear but don't see.
Smart home control
One button for "Goodnight": lights off, shades down, doors locked, alarm on.
Lighting control
Lights that come up softly in the morning and set the mood for dinner, with fewer switches on the wall.
Motorized shades
Shades that tame the glare from big windows and close for privacy at night, on their own.
Network & Wi-Fi
Strong Wi-Fi in every room, even in older homes with thick walls, from the basement to the top floor.
Home security
An alarm you arm from a keypad or your phone, with professional monitoring.
Security cameras
Clear video of the front door, driveway and backyard, day and night, recorded in your home.
Deep Sentinel Live Guard
Live-guarded cameras, where a real person can step in if someone shouldn't be there.
Already have a system that isn't working right? We fix, update and simplify what's already there, including systems someone else installed.

What homeowners say
“I contacted Nick to consult with wiring my homes for high-speed internet and video distribution while doing a major remodeling project. Nick helped me scope the possibilities and options based on my budget and the infrastructure of the house. I had some knowledge about the process, but Nick's professional experience and knowledge helped fill the gaps to provide me a complete solution. Nick was very easy to work with and he was very accommodating of the schedule that was dictated by the other portions of the project. The quality of the work was very high! I am very pleased with the work and would highly recommend him for other projects!”
“My wife & I have hired High-Tech Living twice- first to replace an old security system & improve the wifi at our old house, and, after moving recently, to do both of those at our new house, and also help set up our home entertainment system. They've been a pleasure to have around working on our house & their results have been great. You wouldn't believe how organized they've made the inside of our networking closet!”

Seattle questions, answered
Do you work in Seattle?
Yes. We're based in Mill Creek and work all over Seattle, as well as nearby Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, Mercer Island and the Eastside. We're available Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and meetings are by appointment.
What happens at the free consultation?
It's one visit. We look at your home, ask how you want to use it, and talk through ideas, with no obligation. If you'd like to go further, design is the next step. That's a paid phase where we write the scope, the equipment list and a proposal for you to review.
Our house is older. Can you add this without opening up every wall?
Usually, yes. We plan the cable routes through attics, basements and closets first, and we only use wireless where it makes sense. Where a wall does need to be opened, we tell you up front. If a spot needs a new power outlet, your electrician adds it, and we'll coordinate with them.
We're remodeling. When should we bring you in?
As early as you can. The easiest time to run wire is before the drywall goes up. We work alongside your builder or contractor and fit our schedule around the rest of the project. Builders we've worked with include Tenhulzen, JC Enterprises, Bakstad and Berg.
Nearby areas we serve
We also work all around Seattle, including Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, Mercer Island and Bellevue.
