Home Wi-Fi & Network Installation

Wi-Fi that reaches the back bedroom, the garage, and the patio.

Everything in your house runs on the network

Video calls freeze in the back bedroom. The TV buffers during the game. The doorbell camera goes offline at 3 a.m. These aren't separate problems. Your work laptop, the kids' tablets, cameras, smart lights, music, and movie night all share one network. When that network is guessed at, nothing in the house feels reliable.

The experience we build

  • Strong Wi-Fi in every corner.

The back bedroom, the garage, and the patio all get a strong signal, not just the room with the router.

  • Video calls that never freeze.

The office gets a solid connection, and work devices stay on their own network, apart from the kids' games and smart TVs.

  • Movie night without buffering.

TVs, game consoles, and the home office get wired connections where it counts, leaving the Wi-Fi free for phones and laptops.

  • A home that stays connected, even at 3 a.m.

Cameras, the doorbell, smart lights, and music stay online, because the network was built to carry all of them.

  • Guests online in seconds.

Visitors join their own Wi-Fi easily, kept separate from your devices.

  • Equipment you'll never see or trip over.

Small access points sit neatly on a ceiling or wall, and everything else lives in a clean, labeled closet or rack with surge protection.

  • Connected all the way to the dock.

Outbuildings, docks, and detached garages and shops get the same strong Wi-Fi, linked back to the house by cable or a wireless link between buildings.

  • Great internet, even at the cabin.

Where cable or fiber doesn't reach, we install and integrate satellite internet, then build the same strong Wi-Fi inside as any home in town.

  • Starlink internet that never quits.

Out on the water or out of town, Starlink keeps you online. As your main connection or an automatic backup, it's woven into your home network, so if one connection drops, the other takes over and the show keeps streaming.

  • Built by the team that installs everything on it.

We install the cameras, the theater, the smart home, and the alarm too, so we know every device on your network.

Why the network should come from us

We're the team that also installs what runs on it: the cameras, the theater, the smart home, and the alarm. So we build the network to carry all of it, and we know every device that's on it.

What homeowners say

Reviews

“Just an all-around positive experience from start to finish. Excellent communication (which is something that has been a struggle working with other companies). Ariez was my main point of contact and he did an amazing job setting up our new 4K short throw projector, organizing all of our surround sound and getting our super fast internet set up throughout the house. Nick, the owner, was great to work with as well. Highly recommend them and will definitely be using them again in the future!”

“My wife & I have hired High-Tech Living twice- first to replace an old security system & improve the wifi at our old house, and, after moving recently, to do both of those at our new house, and also help set up our home entertainment system. They've been a pleasure to have around working on our house & their results have been great. You wouldn't believe how organized they've made the inside of our networking closet!”

Network & Wi-Fi questions, answered

  • Why is my Wi-Fi weak in some rooms?

Usually because one router is trying to cover the whole house. Walls, floors, and distance weaken the signal, so the rooms farthest away suffer. We fix it by placing access points where you actually need coverage, often wired back to your equipment closet. That way the back bedroom, office, garage, and patio all get strong Wi-Fi.

  • Why not just buy a mesh Wi-Fi kit from the store?

A store-bought kit can help a smaller home, but it's placed by guesswork and often relies on wireless links between units. We design around your floor plan and wire access points back to a central switch, the hub that connects everything. When mesh is the right fit, like eero, we install it the same way: planned, and wired back where it counts.

  • What is UniFi, and why do you recommend it?

UniFi, made by Ubiquiti, is professional networking equipment for homes and businesses. As a UniFi installer, we use it to cover the house with access points, connect wired devices, and even run your security cameras on the same system. It's reliable, fast, and easy to manage. We also install Araknis, eero, NETGEAR, and Luxul when they fit the job better.

  • Do I need to run new network cables?

Not always, but cable makes everything more reliable. Wired connections for TVs, offices, gaming, cameras, and access points free up your Wi-Fi for phones and laptops. In finished homes, we can often fish cable through attics and crawl spaces. We'll show you which wires are worth it and which aren't.

  • Can you help with work-from-home internet?

Yes. We set up a strong, wired connection in the office when possible, place Wi-Fi so calls don't freeze, and keep work devices on a separate network from the kids' games and smart TVs. Your internet provider controls the speed coming in. We make sure you get all of it in every room.

  • Can you set up internet at a rural or island property?

Yes. Where cable or fiber doesn't reach, we install and integrate Starlink satellite internet, then build a solid network inside the house around it. It's a good fit for cabins, rural homes, and backup internet when your main connection goes down. Once the connection is in, the house gets the same strong Wi-Fi, cameras, and smart home features as any home in town.

  • Do you install and set up Starlink?

Yes. We've installed and set up a number of Starlink systems around the Seattle area. We can make Starlink your main internet, or set it up as a backup that takes over automatically if your cable or fiber goes down. Either way, it's built into your home network so the switch happens in the background and you never notice.

  • Can you fix my network remotely?

Often, yes. When the system allows it, we use remote access tools to check equipment and restart devices without a visit. That means many problems can be solved quickly. If something needs hands-on work, we'll schedule a visit. Either way, you're calling the people who built your network.

  • Do you set up networks for businesses?

Yes. We design and install networks for offices, restaurants, bars, places of worship, and warehouses, including separate guest Wi-Fi, cameras, and a clean, labeled equipment rack. Staff, guests, and point-of-sale or office equipment each get their own network, so a busy guest Wi-Fi doesn't slow down the business.
