Whole-Home Audio Installation
Speakers you hear, not see, in the rooms you choose.
Music that follows you
You're cooking dinner with music on. You walk out to the patio and the same song is waiting for you. Upstairs, the kids' rooms stay quiet. That's whole-home audio. The speakers disappear into the ceiling, the equipment lives in a closet, and anyone in the family can play music from their phone. The battery speakers on the counter can finally go.
The experience we build
Music that follows you through the house.
Start a song in the kitchen, walk out to the patio, and it's already there waiting for you.
Speakers you hear, but never see.
Speakers sit flush in the ceilings and walls, with grilles painted to match. The room looks exactly the way you designed it.
Every room plays its own soundtrack.
A podcast in the kitchen, a dinner playlist on the patio, and quiet in the kids' rooms. When friends come over, one tap fills the whole house with the same song.
Full, rich sound wherever you are.
Each speaker is placed for how the room is really used, and we test the network that streams to it before we leave, so music sounds full and even and never cuts out.
A room made just for listening.
For the serious music lover, we build dedicated listening rooms and high-end two-channel stereo systems, where every instrument has its place and the smallest details come through.
A backyard that sounds as good as the living room.
Weather-rated speakers spread around the patio, deck, garden, or pool fill the space with even sound at a comfortable volume. The music stays with you, not the neighbors.
Your music, your way.
Play from the apps you already use, a keypad on the wall, or your voice. Even your record collection can play in every room.
No clutter, nothing to charge.
The equipment lives in one cool, tidy closet. The battery speakers on the counter can finally go.
Movie night, out on the patio.
Add a weather-rated outdoor TV with a bright, glare-resistant screen, built for Northwest rain and summer sun, so the game and movie night move out to the covered patio. Or pair your outdoor speakers with a weatherproof LED video wall that stays bright in the afternoon sun, so the game, the playlist visuals or movie night moves out to the patio or poolside.

Why it sounds better when we do it
Speakers in the wrong spot sound thin, and wireless speakers drop out when the Wi-Fi is weak. We place each speaker for how the room is used, then test the network that streams to it before we call the job done. On new homes, we work alongside local builders so the speaker wire goes in on their schedule, not after the walls close.
What homeowners say
Reviews
“I highly recommend high-tech living. Nick and the team provided a great customer experience. They installed a Sonos sound system at our place and installed a nest doorbell. Nick was very responsive to my questions and made time to come back to resolve a connectivity issue post install. I'll use high-tech living again for future needs.”
“We had these guys out for a fairly straightforward job by their standards--we needed to hide some wires, tuck away a couple components, and set up the TV sound to come through some additional speakers for added volume. They showed up right on time and got right to work. They did everything quickly and pleasantly and exactly as asked; they even figured out stuff that I wouldn't have been able to explain--even though all the equipment was already here, it wasn't stuff they sold. They upgraded our blown speakers and left everything in perfect shape, nice and clean. We couldn't be happier with the work.”

Whole-Home Audio questions, answered
Do you have to open up walls to install ceiling speakers?
Usually not much. In a finished home, we cut a clean hole for each speaker and fish the wire through the attic, crawl space, or walls. The speaker covers the hole, and the grille can be painted to match the ceiling. Building or remodeling? That's the easiest time, because we can run speaker wire before the drywall goes up.
What's the difference between Sonos and a wired whole-home system?
Sonos is easy to use and works with almost every music app. A wired system puts speakers in the ceilings and walls, with the amplifiers in one closet, so the room stays clean. Often the best answer is both: Sonos for streaming, playing through built-in speakers in each room. We'll help you choose based on how many rooms you want and how you like to listen.
Can I keep using Spotify, Apple Music, and my other apps?
Yes. Your system plays from the apps you already use, like Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, and more. You can start music from your phone, a keypad on the wall, or your voice. Guests can join in too, without learning anything new.
Can different rooms play different music?
Yes. Each room or area is its own zone. Play a podcast in the kitchen, a dinner playlist on the patio, and nothing in the kids' rooms. When friends come over, group every zone together so the same song plays through the whole house.
What's a "zone," and how many do I need?
A zone is any area that can play its own music at its own volume, like the kitchen, the patio, or the primary suite. Most homes need fewer zones than rooms. An open kitchen and great room can be one zone. We'll map zones with you at the consultation, and if you're building, we'll wire every room you might want so you're not cutting ceilings later.
Will outdoor speakers bother the neighbors?
Not when they're done right. We use several smaller weather-rated speakers spread around the patio or yard instead of one or two loud ones. That fills your space with even sound at a lower volume, so the music stays with you. We aim them away from property lines and set the levels with you on install day.
Can you work on my existing Sonos or speaker system?
Yes. We regularly take over systems someone else installed. We can fix dropouts, replace blown speakers, add speakers, or tidy up a messy closet. Sonos problems are often really Wi-Fi problems, so we check the network too. We'll tell you what's worth keeping and what's worth replacing.
Can I play my records through the whole house?
Yes. We can connect a turntable, including Victrola, to your system so your vinyl plays in any room or across the whole house. It's a favorite in living rooms and dens. We'll make sure the turntable, amplifier, and streaming equipment all work together.
