Lighting Control
Light that makes your home feel finished.
The upgrade you notice every day
Evenings feel warm, like lamplight. The kitchen is bright when you're cooking and soft when you're eating. One button sets the room for dinner, a movie, or bed. Through the day, the lights adjust on their own, brighter in the morning and softer at night.
The experience we build
Evenings that glow like lamplight.
Lights turn warmer and more golden as they dim, like candlelight, so the house feels cozy as the day winds down.
The right light for every moment.
Bright and clear when you're cooking, soft when you sit down to eat. One button sets the room for dinner, a movie, or bed.
Layers of light, designed room by room.
We supply the fixtures and the controls, planning general, task, and accent light together so every room has depth and feels finished.
Scenes set with you in the room.
We fine-tune every scene on site, with you there, so "Dinner" and "Evening" look exactly the way you pictured them.
One clean keypad instead of a wall of switches.
A row of switches becomes one engraved keypad, so anyone in the house knows which button to press.
Smooth, silent dimming.
Controls are matched to your lights, so they dim gently all the way down, without flicker or hum.
Light that takes care of itself.
Brighter in the morning, softer at night, and on at sunset. Paths light up when you open the garage, one button by the bed turns off the whole house, and lights come on in the evening while you're away so the house looks lived in.
A glow in the details.
Under-cabinet, cove, and hallway lighting join the same scenes, and color-changing light can set the mood in a media room or bar.
A home that glows after dark, outside too.
Landscape and exterior lighting join the same scenes and schedules, so paths, gardens, and the front of the house light up beautifully at sunset.
Daylight, even in a Seattle December.
A simulated skylight or backlit window brings soft, daylight-like light into dark rooms and gray winter days. It brightens slowly on your schedule each morning, cools and lifts on rainy afternoons, and fades to a warm glow at night.

Why have lighting designed
We set every scene on site with you in the room, so "Dinner" and "Evening" look the way you pictured them, not the way a default setting guessed. Keypads, controls, and scenes are planned together from the start, not picked one at a time, and on new builds and remodels we plan alongside your builder and designer.

Lighting Control questions, answered
Do I need to remodel to get better lighting?
No. Lighting control works with the lights you already have. We replace crowded banks of switches with clean Lutron keypads, set up scenes and schedules, and program everything so each room dims and responds the way you want. If you're remodeling or building, it's the perfect time to plan the lighting design and place every keypad exactly where you'll use it.
What is warm-to-dim lighting?
It's LED light that gets warmer and more golden as you dim it, like an old incandescent bulb or candlelight. Bright and clear when you're cooking, cozy at dinner. It's one of the simplest ways to make a home feel warm in the evening, and our clients notice it every day.
Why do my LED lights flicker or buzz when dimmed?
Usually the dimmer and the LED aren't a good match. Many older dimmers were made for incandescent bulbs, not LEDs. We match the right Lutron controls to your lights and set the lowest dim level on site, so lights dim smoothly all the way down without flicker or hum. If a particular light won't cooperate, we'll tell you.
What's the difference between Lutron Caséta, RadioRA 2, and RadioRA 3?
They're all Lutron lighting control, at different sizes. We install Caséta for a few rooms, and RadioRA 2 and RadioRA 3 for whole homes, including shades and keypads, and they work with Control4. For larger, design-driven homes, HomeWorks and Palladiom are available through our partners. We'll recommend the right one for your home and budget.
Can you replace a wall full of light switches?
Yes. A row of four or five switches can become one clean keypad with buttons for "Cooking," "Dinner," "Evening," and "Off." Each button sets several lights at once. Keypads can be engraved so anyone in the house knows what each one does.
Can lights turn on by themselves?
Yes. Lights can follow a schedule, come on at sunset, or turn on when you walk into a room. Paths can light up when you open the garage, and an "All Off" button by the bed turns off the whole house. If you're away, lights can come on in the evening so the house looks lived in.
Can you do just the kitchen?
Yes, and it's one of the best places to start. A typical kitchen gets bright light for cooking, softer light for dinner, and a warm glow from the under-cabinet lights, all on one keypad by the door with "Cooking," "Dinner," and "Off" buttons. It's a contained project with a big daily payoff, and it doesn't require touching the rest of the house.
